Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days. Vinyl banners are produced within 24 hours of order placement, and same-day production may be possible depending on the order. Standard vinyl (13 oz) is the most popular — affordable, full-color, and good for indoor and short-term outdoor use. Mesh vinyl is perforated so wind passes through, making it the best choice for fences, buildings, and long-term outdoor installations in Chicago. Fabric banners are lighter and wrinkle-resistant, ideal for indoor trade show displays. We currently print on vinyl and mesh.
It depends on viewing distance. A good rule: text should be 1 inch tall for every 10 feet of distance. For storefronts, 3'x6' or 4'x8' are the most popular sizes. For trade show retractable stands, 33"x81" is standard. For building wraps and fence banners, we print custom sizes up to 8'x12' and beyond. Request a quote for custom dimensions.
With proper installation and care, outdoor vinyl banners last 2–5 years. Chicago weather — lake wind, freeze/thaw cycles, summer UV — is tough on signage. We recommend 18 oz vinyl or mesh for year-round outdoor use. For heavy wind areas near the lake, mesh is the best choice — it lets wind pass through and prevents tearing. Store banners flat or rolled (never folded) between uses to prevent cracking.
